COMPETITIONS
The following competitions are planned for Nashville Balboa Experience 4. Please use the "Registration" page to enter.
Remember...this is a BALBOA competititon. So no lindy, charleston, peabody, shag, et al moves allowed.
- Open Jack & Jill - Friday, July 30 at 10:30 PM
- Open Strictly - Saturday, July 31 at 10:30 PM
Open Jack & Jill - Leaders and followers sign up individually. Any level of dancer may enter. Dancers will be judged individually during the contest. Prelims may be necessary depending on the number of entries. Details will be announced at the event. Contest will consist of one slow song (170-200 bpm), one medium tempo (200-230 bpm) and one fast (230+ bpm), with a different partner for each song.
Open Strictly - This competition is open to all levels. Dancers register as a couple. Contest will be danced battle-style (2 couples at a time) to songs selected by our head DJ, Kristy Milliken. Songs will be in the 200-220 BPM range.
Competition Fees:
$15 per person for Jack and Jill
$25 per couple for Strictly
